Taylor Swift has vowed to try out new languages on tour after a humiliating experience in Asia

The country singer began her Speak Now World Tour several months ago, with show dates running until November. She has already played in Asia and Europe, explaining she loves taking to the stage as it helps her feel close to fans.

For that reason Taylor usually tries to speak to concertgoers in their native tongue, as she thinks it shows how much they mean to her. However, she’s decided to re-think the strategy after things didn’t go to plan recently.

‘ try to say a few phrases everywhere I go but in Asia I really messed it up,’ she lamented. ‘ think they appreciated it but I’m not sure I would do that again. I’ve learned my lesson!’

The 21-year-old didn’t reveal what slip-up she made, although it seems it was bad enough to leave her red-faced.

The star’s tour has had some fun moments though, such as when she visited Brussels. She was keen to sample Belgian chocolate while in the city, so was thrilled when she came across a giant elephant carved from the sweet treat.

‘Brussels is famous for its excellent chocolate, so we posed with a statue of a chocolate elephant,’ she laughed.

The 21-year-old singer ‘ who has previously dated the likes of Jake Gyllenhaal, Joe Jonas and Taylor Lautner ‘ revealed she doesn’t care about being in a relationship someone rich, famous or good-looking, but just wants to meet a man she can find true love with.

She explained: ‘There are no rules when it comes to love. I just try to let love surprise me because you never know who you’re going to fall in love with.

‘You never know who’s going to come into your life ‘ and for me, when I picture the person I want to end up with, I don’t think about what their career is, or what they look like. I picture the feeling I get when I’m with them.”

The country music star ‘ who has written about her former loves on a number of her records ‘ admitted she is a ‘hopeful person’, and is convinced she will eventually get her happy ending.

Taylor added to US InStyle magazine: ”m really a daydreamer and a hopeful person. When it comes to ‘happily ever after,’ I always have a tendency to write a happy ending to my songs.

‘That’s probably wishful thinking on my part.”

Joe Jonas is single once more. The one-third of the tween heartthrob trio The Jonas Brothers has reportedly split from “Twilight” actress Ashley Greene. According to our source, the couple broke up weeks ago after they started dating last summer. It was said to be a “mutual and amicable” split.

The split makes Ashley, 24, one of the young beauties who used to date the 21-year-old heartbreaker. Joe famously dated Taylor Swift, Camilla Belle, and Demi Lovato.

Joe recently talked about his relationship with Ashley. In an interview with Details magazine in its April issue, he said, “[It] feels good. I think what works about it is she really puts my feelings first. She understands my busy schedule. She’ll fly out to my shows – she’s been to places in South America that I can’t even pronounce.”

Apparently, Ashley doesn’t do any of those things anymore.

The ‘Love Story’ hitmaker ‘ whose most recent relationship was with ‘Love & Other Drugs’ star Jake Gyllenhaal from October to December last year ‘ has been spotted enjoying dates with the actor and friends say the pair are enjoying getting to know each other.

The pair also attended Harvey Weinstein’s pre-Oscar party at Soho House on Saturday (26.02.11) night where a source said: “They spent most of the night talking closely and giggling. He would playfully touch her arm, and she couldn’t stop smiling. It was cute!!”

Meanwhile Taylor, 21, reportedly had an intense chat with former boyfriend Jake, 30, at the Vanity Fair post Oscars bash last night , where onlookers said they appeared to be ‘sorting something out’.

A guest at the party told People: “They were outside near the restroom having a discussion. It seemed a bit more serious ‘ it certainly wasn’t a ‘Hi, how are you?’ talk. It seemed like they were catching up, sorting something out.”
