Lady Gaga is scared of having a baby. The 24-year-old singer believes the demands of motherhood affect an artist’s creativity in a negative way and at the moment all she wants to do is focus on her music career. She said in an interview with Rolling Stone magazine: ‘I’m terrified of babies. I think, creatively, as a woman, you change once you give birth. I’m totally not ready for that.’ The eccentric singer also spoke about the love she still has for an ex-boyfriend, who she refers to only as a heavy metal drummer called Luke. Gaga credits him with helping her become the pop megastar she is today. She explained: ‘I wouldn’t have been as successful without him. I’ve never really loved anyone like I loved him. Or like I love him. That relationship really shaped me. It made me into a fighter. “But I don’t want to talk about him… he’s too precious to talk about.’ Although she has been in love before, the ‘Alejandro’ singer doesn’t think she understands the complexities of the heart. She said: ‘But, you know, I don’t really know much about love. I suppose if I knew everything about love, I wouldn’t be good at making music, would I?”
Katy Perry has posted a topless photo of herself in her Twitter account. Fans might be frustrated as the shot is just an odd image in which Perry photoshopped her face onto fiance Russell Brand’s from a shirtless shot of the Brit that graces the cover of the new issue of Rolling Stone magazine. Katy made it in a bid to celebrate Russell’s 35th birthday and the launch of his new movie “Get Him to the Greek”, which both happened on June 4. Together with the quirky image, Katy wrote, “In honor of @rustyrockets birthday; film release! MY Rolling Stone Cover!” and then sends fans to the ‘Twitpic’.”
Phil Collins has to tape his drumsticks to his hands. The former Genesis star has suffered severe nerve damage to his hands and admits he now finds it incredibly difficult to play his instrument. He explained: ‘The first time I picked up the drum sticks after my neck surgery, they flew across the room because I couldn’t grip them. ‘When I play, I’ve had to tape the sticks to my hand. It’s like wearing a condom. It’s very strange. It really cramps your style.’ It is not only in his performing career that the 59-year-old star’s problems are causing him difficulty – he finds many basic day-to-day tasks virtually impossible. He explained: ‘I can’t let go of the spoon or the knife when I eat. I can’t open a car door. I won’t get gruesome with you, but there’s a lot of things I can’t do. I’m left handed.’ However, the ‘You Can’t Hurry Love’ hitmaker is hopeful he may soon get relief from his problem. He added to Rolling Stone magazine: ‘I’m having an operation soon and there’s a good chance of it improving over time.’ Phil, 59, is hopeful he will be able to overcome his affliction in order to play live with Genesis again – but only if former frontman Peter Gabriel has time. He said: ‘My hands are way down to picking the order of that possibility. Three years ago I didn’t know I’d be in this position and three years from now it may not be like this. I think the main thing is Peter’s schedule and the speed he works anyways.’
Britney Spears debuts at #1 on the Billboard Hot 100 with her new single “3,” making her the first artist to do so in over three years, Billboard magazine reports. Madonna likes Lady Gaga because she has the ‘IT Factor’. The 51-year-old pop icon was impressed by the ‘Paparazzi’ singer – who is a self-confessed Madonna fan – from the first time she saw her, even though she was still refining her act. Madonna told Rolling Stone magazine: ‘When I saw her, she didn’t have a lot of money for her production. She had holes in her fishnets, and there were mistakes everywhere. It was kind of a mess, but I can see that she has that ‘IT Factor’. It’s nice to see that at a raw stage.’ Lady Gaga has cited the ‘Celebration’ singer as an influence on her career and Madonna insists she can see similarities between them both. She added: ‘I see myself in Lady Gaga.’ Lady Gaga recently revealed she was thrilled when Madonna attended one of her concerts in New York. The pop star – real name Stefani Germanotta – said: ‘My sister texted me and she was like, ‘Madonna is 15 feet away from me. And there are two guys having sex in the audience. I just remember thinking, ‘Wow, this is exactly what I wanted. I’ve got Madonna and I’ve got gay sex!’ “
A musical trio of tousle-haired brunettes, the Jonas Brothers were called “Disney’s emo heartthrobs” by Rolling Stone magazine in 2008. The three handsome brothers are Kevin (b. 1987), Joe (b. 1989) and Nick (b. 1992). They were born in different states but raised in Wyckoff, New Jersey and home-schooled by their mother and their father, an Assembly of God minister. Nick took small roles on Broadway as a child, including a stint as Chip in the Disney musical Beauty and the Beast. He later recorded a solo album, Nicholas Jonas, which led Columbia Records to sign him and his two older brothers to a band contract in 2005. The Jonas Brothers toured that summer with Jesse McCartney and released the album It’s About Time in 2006, establishing their friendly peachfuzz-guitar sound. (Nick sings lead, Kevin and Joe play guitar, and all three dabble in other instruments.) Still, the band didn’t really take off until they signed with Disney’s Hollywood Records in 2007. Helped along by Disney clout and exposure, their 2007 album Jonas Brothers went platinum while they toured with another Disney star, Miley Cyrus. Their Disney Channel movie Camp Rock (co-starring Demi Lovato) was released in 2008. They released another album, Lines, Vines and Trying Times, in 2009. Extra credit: Kevin Jonas became engaged to his girlfriend of two years, Danielle Deleasa, in July of 2009… Nick was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes in November of 2005… Kevin’s name is Paul Kevin Jonas II, but he is called Kevin… A fourth Jonas brother, Frankie, was born in 2000 and is not in the band; fans call him the Bonus Jonas… The brothers don’t publicize their birthdates. Nicholas Jonas was born 6 September 1992, according to the online Boy Choir and Soloist Directory. According to TV.com, Kevin Jonas was born on 5 November 1987, and Joe Jonas was born on 15 August 1989.
Well aware of her image as a wholesome adolescent country music sensation, Taylor Swift occasionally throws her fans off with her choice of collaborators. Last year, CMT aired a Crossroads special that saw Swift team up with British hard rockers Def Leppard. And during last month’s airing of the 2009 CMT Music Awards, Swift paired with the unlikeliest of duet partners — rapper T-Pain — on a humourous video called Thug Story. That T-Pain-Swift bit, Swift explains during a telephone conference call, “was a collaboration between me and CMT. (The network) came to me and said we want you to be the focal point of the (show’s) intro. They wanted me to play on the fact that all these (TV) specials that I do focus on me having a dream and setting my sights on accomplishing it. So why not think of some crazy things that people wouldn’t expect you to do? “So they let me write this rap. And T-Pain wanted to hear the track beforehand. I got up and rapped this whole thing for him and he couldn’t stop laughing. The video was hilarious to shoot, too: I go to the mall, buy gangsta jewelry at this kiosk for $40. It was all meant to be really funny stuff.” Her collaboration with Def Leppard, though, was a much more serious affair but equally as fun. “Stepping into someone else’s studio is one of (my) favourite things,” Swift says. “I have so many different levels of respect for people who make music that is different from mine. I understand what I do the most, but that’s only because I’ve been doing my music for the longest time.” Swift has now topped the seven million mark in total record sales, which includes the triple-platinum late 2008 effort, Fearless. And her publicity continues to grow: A cover story for Rolling Stone magazine, ads for the Got Milk campaign, numerous awards including awarded the Academy of Country Music’s Crystal Milestone Award (given for outstanding achievement in the genre) plus cameos in the Hanna Montana and Jonas Brothers In 3-D movies. All this and a revelation of a public breakup with Joe Jonas, too. But Swift had her say on that subject months ago and is currently focused on her debut headlining tour, which she explains will feature some theatre-style elements to the performance. “I grew up doing children’s theatre,” Swift says. “What I thought might be cool would be to have a big element of tour revolve around the theatrics to my songs — just dramatizations of what I’ve gone through in my life and what’s going on inside my head.”
Lady Gaga’s lovers are intimidated by her bisexuality. The Poker Face singer admits she is attracted to both men and women and this has caused problems with her previous boyfriends. She said: “The fact that I’m into women, they’re all intimidated by it. It makes them uncomfortable. They’re like, ‘I don’t need to have a threesome. I’m happy with just you.’” However, Gaga insists she has never been in love with a woman and the only man she had serious feelings for was a heavy-metal drummer named Luke. She said of the relationship: “I was his Sandy, and he was my Danny, and I just broke.” Although she has a new boyfriend, the blonde star says the most important thing in her life is her career. She added to Rolling Stone magazine: “My music’s not going to wake up tomorrow morning and tell me it doesn’t love me anymore. So I’m content with my solitude. I’m OK with being alone. I choose to have someone in my life when I can.” The 23-year-old star is not the only female celebrity to admit to having relationships with both men and women. Megan Fox – who is dating actor Brian Austin Green – recently confessed she is attracted to women. The 23-year-old actress said: “I have no question in my mind about being bisexual. I think people are born bisexual and they make subconscious choices based on the pressures of society.” ‘Mean Girls’ actress Lindsay Lohan enjoyed a tumultuous relationship with DJ Samantha Ronson, while Black Eyed Peas Star Fergie has enjoyed several lesbian trysts.
