Rolling Stone goes behind the scenes—and tags along in a private jet—for its cover story on the U2360° Tour (aka “the biggest rock tour of all time”), which is comprised of a 170-ton stage carted around by 200 trucks, 250 speakers, almost 400 employees—and $750,000 a day in overhead costs. The band is eager to “engage and try and do something different,” says Edge.
But it’s not all about the tour: Bono also discusses rock stardom in 2009, calling Jay-Z “a pioneer” who is helping to create a “porous culture, where there’s much more crosstown traffic.” He goes on to speculate, “In this age of celebrity and pop stardom, maybe it’s a sensible thing to question the values of being a pop star. Radiohead, Pearl Jam, a lot of people, who maybe had more sense than us, rejected it.”
Ricky Ullman was born in Israel, before his parents decided to move to Connecticut, USA. He first took an interest in acting when he was just eight-years-old, after watching a musical production put on by a local children’s acting camp. He was inspired by the performance, that he signed up for the summer camp the following year. During his time at the camp, Ricky developed his acting, singing and dancing skills. Ricky kickstarted his acting career with a stage role, touring with a production of “The King And I” playing the character Louis. He first took an interest in acting when he was just eight-years-old. He is a familiar face on the Disney Channel, having starred in the title role on the show “Phil of the Future” (the role for which he is best known) and made-for-TV movie “Pixel Perfect”. Nuns were displeased when shown a video of Lady Gaga’s performance of “Paparazzi” on Sunday. After watching Lady Gaga’s controversial performance of her song, “Paparazzi,” at the MTV VMAs last Sunday, nuns from the Catholic school in which the singer was raised are in shock by what she has become, sources report. Educated at one of the Sacred Heart schools in New York City, her former teachers were most definitely displeased when shown a video of last Sunday’s performance, featuring a pants-less Lady Gaga choreographed towards her own graphic death at the performance’s finale. Despite Lady Gaga’s current success in the pop music world, the nuns at her former school are far from pleased with their famous alumna. The pop star, predominantly known for her scanty and outrageous outfits and tell-all exploits, is not considered to be a revered alumna from the Sacred Heart School on East 91st Street. According to the New York Post, the school’s spokesperson could not be reached after news of the nuns’ reactions hit the press.
Lady Gaga isn’t ashamed of admitting that she doesn’t like to wear underwear. “I don’t really go in for wearing underwear,’ the Daily Star quoted her as saying. “Not very much, no. It’s rare that I decide to put some on. There’s no point really – and I’m not ashamed of it,” she added. Meanwhile, the ‘Poker Face’ hitmaker continued her shock tactics as she stepped out in a bizarre see-through red lace catsuit teamed up with eye mask and eccentric spiky hairpiece at the New York fashion week. The singer’s modesty was said to be hardly covered by a barely there red G-string and an almost-strategically placed ruffle on her costume. She revealed that her hectic schedule might give her little chance of finding a new man. However, ‘Poker Face’ hitmaker admits she is finding other ways to relieve the tension of being a single girl. ”I am single and a workaholic and very lonely,” the Sun quoted her as saying. “But I’m good . Me and my vibrator are very happy,” she added. Meanwhile, Michael Bolton has teamed up with the 23-year-old singer as she helped pen songs for his forthcoming new album. Her hit track Poker Face has become the most downloaded song in the five-year history of the Official UK Downloads Chart. The singer’s another hit ‘Just Dance’ is also said to be at No3 in the list. !”I am honoured to be the songwriter and performer behind the No1 and No3 songs,” the Sun quoted her as saying. Rock band Kings Of Leon’s ‘Sex On Fire’ is at No2, while the group’s ‘Use Somebody’ is at No4. Some of the other artists featuring in top ten are Leona Lewis, La Roux, Alexandra Burke and Snow Patrol.
Madonna is to duet with Janet Jackson. The two singers are working on a tribute to Janet’s late brother Michael Jackson after bonding over dinner after Sunday’s (13.09.09) MTV Video Music Awards (VMAs), which saw the ‘Together Again’ star perform ‘Scream’, a track originally recorded with her sibling, and Madonna make a tearful speech about her regret at “abandoning” the pop icon before his death. A source said: “It was a meeting of two great musical minds. Madonna was so impressed with Janet’s tribute to Michael that they started talking about how great it would be to honour him by doing something together. “With that one performance Janet proved she’s back on top of her game. And Continue reading →
Liam is the X-factor this season on “90210″, I’m sure of it. In last season’s finale, he was calling all the shots with Naomi – dangerous drag races, car hood sex, and then sleeping with the “sis-emy” (Liam, you skank!). Then, in the final moments of the show, and in his own bed for a change, Liam was kidnapped. And whom did we meet during last week’s Season 2 premiere? A softer, more docile Liam, just out of military camp. Naomi, fresh from older-manville, admitted she wasn’t over him. Has he really been tamed, or is Liam just a caged tiger? Matt Lanter, who plays the jaded heartthrob, says we probably shouldn’t come to any conclusions about Liam just yet. “We’re actually not sure how it has affected him,” Continue reading →

The film’s code name indicated by the yellow production signs plastered all over Worcester? In preparation for the shoot, set designers transformed the locale to act as stand-in for the Wichita Airport. The film’s prop team received 40 copies of a Kansas paper, The Wichita Eagle, and 25 guides from the Wichita Convention & Visitors Bureau. About one of our favorite up-and-coming actors, British newcomer Jamie Campbell Bower. The dude has the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to play a character in both the “Twilight” and “Harry Potter” franchises — what’s cooler than that? During a interview, however, Jamie did reveal one key fact that might not be met with such enthusiasm: Despite reports to the contrary, he’s only expecting to be in one of the final two “Potter” movies. “I play Gellert Grindelwald, who is an old Continue reading →
