Fast on their way to becoming one of the world’s biggest bands, Thirty Seconds To Mars’ status in the UK has already been proven with shows this year that include a sold-out arena tour as well as a headline slot on the second stage at Download Festival. Coroner says Jackson died from lethal dose of propofol. Pop star Michael Jackson died from a lethal dose of the powerful anesthetic propofol given in a cocktail of drugs, leading authorities to suspect his doctor of manslaughter, court documents showed on Monday. My Chemical Romance’s Gerard Way has become a dad for the first time with the birth of his baby daughter. Way and wife Lindsey Ballato welcomed Bandit Lee on Wednesday (May 27). The couple married in September 2007. According to People.com , “Bandit Lee Way was born in Los Angeles at 2.57pm and weighs 6 pounds, 5.6 ounces. Everyone is healthy and happy.” As previously reported, My Chemical Romance, Linkin Park and Beyonce are set to headline Japanese festival Summer Sonic. Nine Inch Nails, Kasabian, Elvis Costello, The Specials, The Enemy and The Flaming Lips are also among the bands on the 2009 bill. The festival takes place in Tokyo and Osaka between August 7 and 9.

Fans can also look forward to the soulful and bluesy vocals of James Morrison. Still only 24, he’s already been compared to the likes of the mighty Otis Redding and Van Morrison. Scottish post-rock pioneers Mogwai bring their own wall of sound to Friday. This critically acclaimed 5 piece always deliver an outstanding, often deafening live show. Regina Spektor is a unique singer songwriter that cannot be pigeonholed. Her undoubted talent embraces influences as diverse as folk, punk, rock, hip-hop and jazz. GUNS N’ ROSES have announced the appointment of a a new guitarist and songwriter. DJ Ashba has replaced Robin Finck, who has returned to play with Nine Inch Nails on their upcoming tour. Singer Axl Rose said: “DJ’s a gifted, energetic guitarist that Guns N’ Roses is proud to have on board! We’re very excited to have the opportunity to work together. “Guns’ radar has silently been aware of DJ’s presence for quite some time. He brings a fresh approach to our particular brand of mayhem expanding the tapestry of Guns N’ Roses live. “Once DJ’s name was in the hat, the hat disappeared!” Ashba said: “It’s an honor to have the opportunity to be a part of a band that I have always loved and respected. “I’m looking forward to working with Axl, who is not only one of the few great front men of our generation, but a true artist.”
