In the black and white YouTube clip, posted before she went on stage in New York’s Madison Square Garden for her Monster Ball tour, she sobbed: “I still sometimes feel like a loser. It’s crazy, ‘cos it’s like we’re at the Garden, but I still feel like a loser kid in high school.
‘Sometimes I still feel like people are trying to destroy me… I cannot be destroyed and I will not be destroyed. And you will never destroy the kingdom that is my fans.’
The outlandish ‘Judas’ hitmaker – who was recently criticised on micro-blogging website twitter for the bizarre artwork of her new album ‘Born This Way’ which depicts her morphing into a mutant motorcycle – went on to say she feels like she has to “fight” to remain a “superstar” for the sake of her young fans.
She said: ‘ just have to pick my s*** up. Pick myself up and tell myself I’m a superstar every morning just so I can get through this day.
‘ feel like I have to fight. I’m fighting for every kid that’s like me, that’s felt like I’ve felt and feels like I still feel.”
She added: ‘ just wanna be a queen but sometimes I just don’t feel like one. It’s not about being a winner for me anymore, you know. It’s about being a winner for them.’
The clip was filmed as part of documentary ‘Lady Gaga Presents The Monster Ball Tour: At Madison Square Garden’ which will be aired next month.
The Black Eyed Peas star wrote the track ‘Big Fat Bass’ for Britney’s new album ‘Femme Fatale’ and loved working with her because her enthusiasm was infectious.
He said: “I discovered her love for music. I have never seen anyone, like, come alive, full of excitement and giggling and laughing behind the mic.
‘She was like a little kid when she was recording the song and it just brought the whole atmosphere, it changed the whole atmosphere when someone really loves music. So it was great working with her.”
Despite Britney’s enthusiasm, will.i.am said she is also completely professional and didn’t any advice from him.
He added to MTV: “When someone’s excited to go out and just do it, what advice? You don’t need no advice. She is like, ‘When I say on the song, ‘You all better get ready for the kick drum,” she was already anticipating what she was going to do onstage when that beat broke down.
‘Adding that type of perspective, when we were recording it, you don’t need to give nobody like Britney advice.”
Meanwhile, will.i.am and the other members of the Black Eyed Peas ‘ Fergie, Taboo and apl.de.ap ‘ have announced plans to open a school for New York teenagers to learn video and music production through their charitable organisation, The Peapod Foundation.
will.i.am said: “Our passion for music and media was fuelled by many generous people on our road to success. Expanding the network of Peapod Adobe Youth Voices academies enables us to pay it forward, giving more youth the skills and encouragement they need to realise their dreams.”
Alexis Jordan loves working with Jay-Z because he lets her make her own decisions. The ‘Happiness’ hitmaker is signed to the rapper’s Roc Nation label and while she relies on him for direction and advice, he allows her to take charge of her sound and her image.
Speaking at the MTV Push in partnership with CK One party at the Village Underground in London last night (14.04.11), Alexis told BANG Showbiz: ‘Jay-Z is amazing. It’s so great for me to have someone like him be so hands on with my project. He’s really awesome. He really lets me be the artist that I am and lets me make my own decisions.
‘ get to have a say in what I wear and what music I want to bring out and now it’s music that’s really fun and really kind of innocent.
‘My music right now is a reflection of a little bit of who I am. I don’t think I could completely convey who I am in just one record so you’ll have to wait for the next one, and the one after that to find out more about me.’
Despite her success, Alexis ‘ who also performed at the party – admitted she still gets excited when she hears her music on the radio and couldn’t believe it when she heard her track ‘Good Girl’ on a recent trip to London.
She said: ‘ flipped out today because we were in the car this morning and my driver goes, ‘Do you guys want to hear some music?’ And he put the radio on and it was my song.
‘My mom was flipping out, we were like ‘did you plan this?”

Handlin told the newspaper, ‘She wants to do a big tour off the back of this record, which will include Australia. These songs, the best description I can give is groundbreaking; she’s gone to another level.’
Beyonce herself told MTV late last year that she is trying to mix every genre she loves ‘ R&B, pop, rock ‘ into ‘my own little gumbo of music.’
The album has been in the works since 2009, and producers and songwriters on it are said to include Ne-Yo, The Dream, Symbolyc One, Diplo, Switch, and Rodney ‘Darkchild’ Jerkins.
Handlin specified that Beyonce’s fourth solo album will be released in late-June this year.
Britney Spears has a track with a “rock feel” which features Travis Barker on ‘Femme Fatale’. The ‘Hold It Against Me’ hitmaker worked with the heavily tattooed Blink-182 drummer on a track for her forthcoming album, which producer Rodney Jerkins describes as “out of her norm”.
He told MTV: “I’m really excited. I did two songs on her album, and one of the songs I did, I brought in Travis Barker.
“It’s got this rock feel which is out of the box, out of my norm, and I think it’s out of her norm as well. We had a great time making this record.”
Rodney – who has previously worked with artists including Michael Jackson, Beyonce Knowles and Spice Girls – also told how Britney had a lot of input on the tracks, saying she was “very hands-on” and is “a top-notch veteran pro at this now.”
Britney has herself previously described the album as “moody, edgy pop with a lot of energy.”
Travis has most recently been in the studio working with Blink-182 on their comeback album, their first since their self titled fifth album in 2003.
The ‘Dog Days Are Over’ group have been writing their second album since autumn last year, and guitarist Rob Ackroyd said the group are now poised to enter the famous Abbey Road studio in London where The Beatles recorded much of their material. He said: “Work on the second album has begun with producer Paul Epworth and there is talk of booking out Abbey Road for a month in April or May to record. Which is nice.”
The musician also revealed that while he and group leader Florence Welch see eye to eye on most musical genres, but finds himself at odds when it comes to her taste in mainstream songs.
He added to Gibson.com: “Florence’s and my taste in music often overlap in harmonious fashion; we’re both big fans of hip-hop and American indie.
“But she’s also a big fan of unadulterated pop music, which cuts through me like a knife.”
The guitarist – who has also recently been working with Pixie Geldof, daughter of former Boomtown Rats frontman Bob Geldof on her new band Violet – also told how he had managed to meet his rock guitar hero through playing with the machine.
He added: “I think people like Guns n’ Roses guitarists Izzy Stradlin and Slash really glamorised the guitar for me when I was a kid. In the early ’90s it seemed like every weekend was Guns N’ Roses weekend on MTV and I was galvanized by Slash.
“I kind of fulfilled my dream of meeting Slash last summer when Florence And The Machine shared a festival bill with him.”

Justin lost out on a Grammy Award for Best New Artist to Esperanza Spalding last night (13.02.11) and though he was disappointed not to win, the teenager says his defeat makes him want to work harder.
He told MTV News: ‘ had no clue what was going to happen. I worked really hard these past few years and you know, I’m not going to lie, I was disappointed. But, you know, I’m gonna come back next year and we’ll take a few home.
