Dancing With The Stars” Celebs Louis Van Amstel and Jonathan Roberts will make guest appearances at the first MAMMOJAM 2010, a dance club benefit for Dr. Susan Love Research Foundation, at the Rise Club, 6801 W. Hollywood Blvd., in the Hollywood and Highland Complex, on Thursday, April first.       The event is the brainchild of Lissa Levin Guntzelman, a television writer/producer (“Mad about you,” “WKRP in Cincinnati”) and breast cancer survivor.       “I wanted to do this for myself, my family and other breast cancer victims,” said event Project Director Lissa Levin Guntzelman of the Dr. Susan Love Research Foundation’s MAMMOJAM 2010. “I’m a TV writer/producer, but also an 18-year breast cancer survivor and my mother died of breast cancer at age 60, so my experience and entertainment industry connections will help fight the disease. I have supported Dr. Susan Love Foundation, because she has committed her life to putting an end to breast cancer in our lifetime. And I have a daughter who’s now 20, and I want her to see this happen.”         Van Amstel will take center stage, demonstrating his Louis’ Dance Blast moves for the crowd to follow, including dance pros, and students from his Sherman Oaks and Beverly Hills dance classes – and Roberts will dance and share the dance floor with the Renowned Surgeon Dr. Susan Love.         Celebrities and the public are invited to put on their dancing shoes, too for the dance party, which is expected to raise the roof when it kicks into high gear at 7:00 pm while raising money for the Dr. Love’s pioneering breast cancer research.       The event will feature music from the 70’s to Salsa and Disco to Today. Club DJ Prophecy. Dedications of songs will be offered on seven video screens around the dance floor. Participants will have the chance to be partnered with a professional guest dancer, free appetizers, a full no-host bar, a free neck and shoulder massage, not to mention an opportunity to mingle with lots of celebrities and surprise guests on the dance floor.   MAMMOJAM 2010 will be a celebration of women of all ages joining forces to fight this deadly disease including mothers and daughters, family members and friends, and the men who love them.  “Let’s dance to kick breast cancer to the curb while supporting the Dr. Susan Love Research Foundation,” said Guntzelman. Everyone can have a great time for a great cause.  Just like the title of Dr. Susan Love’s new book, let’s all LIVE A LITTLE and party-on to help the cause!         Ticket packages for this rare evening range from $55 to $750 with complimentary parking in the Hollywood and Highland Complex included.  To buy MAMMOJAM 2010 tickets in advance visit:  www.dslrf.org/endingbc/content.asp?L2=7&L3=2&SID=382 or by calling the Dr. Susan Love Research Foundation at (310) 828-0060 or (866) 569-0388.          If you would like more information regarding ways to be involved, please email lissalevin@mindspring.com.  And to join the party before the party, go to MAMMOJAM 2010 on Facebook.    For more information about the Dr. Susan Love Research Foundation visit: www.dslrf.org.        On June 6, 2010 the 3rd Annual Love Walk in Pacific Palisades will benefit the Foundation. The bottom couple will go home; the next two at the bottom will compete head to head in a dance off. Those couples will get to choose the dance. Oh, DWTS, having to keep changing the way things are done, otherwise no one will watch the results shows anymore, except for recappers. The first couple we learn are safe are Joanna and Derek. They are Continue reading →
