Lindsay Lohan’s probation revoked, prison could be next

Lindsay Lohan’s probation was revoked on Wednesday after a Los Angeles County judge reprimanded the actress and her attorney in court for Lohan’s failure to comply with her community service.

Lohan was escorted from the courtroom in handcuffs and later posted a $100,000 bail.

LA Judge Stephanie Sautner said that if Lohan made bail, she must perform 16 hours of community service a week, over a minimum of two days a week, at the Los Angeles County morgue before her probation hearing on November 2.

Lohan was suppose to be performing community service at a downtown Los Angeles women’s center. The judge, who expressed anger at Lohan’s repeated probation violations over the last several months, said that the actress had posted nine excused absences at the center since her last court hearing on July 21. At most, Lohan performed just two hours of service.

When Lohan steps before the judge on Nov. 2, she could get as much as a year and a half in prison.

Lindsay Lohan sues rapper Pitbull over “Give Me Everything”

Lindsay Lohan is doing some damage control on her image and she’s not letting a damaging reference to her on a hit song slide. She’s suing rapper Pitbull over his #1 single “Give Me Everything.”

According to TMZ, Lohan is suing over the line where Pitbull references her legal troubles, rapping, “I got it locked up like Lindsay Lohan.”

Lohan claims in the lawsuit that “the lyrics, by virtue of its wide appeal, condemnation, excoriation, disparaging or defamatory statements by the defendants about the plaintiff are destined to do irreparable harm to the plaintiff.”

The song was released back in March and topped the Billboard Hot 100 chart in June. It’s remained in the top 10 since and has sold over 2 million copies.

“Give Me Everything” also features Ne-Yo and Afrojack, who are also named defendants in the lawsuit.

Lindsay isn’t exactly asking Pitbull to “Give Me Everything” as far as money goes. She just wants to stop all broadcasting of the song, which will definitely be hard to do. It’s currently one of the biggest songs at radio and Pitbull and Ne-Yo are even scheduled to perform the track at next week’s MTV “Video Music Awards.”

In the lawsuit, filed by Stephanie Ovadia (who also helped with the Linsday’s E*TRADE ad lawsuit), Lindsay says she’s “suing under the New York civil rights laws, which protects people from having their name exploited for commercial purposes.”

Samantha Ronson officially charged with drunk driving

After Lindsay Lohan’s ex Samantha Ronson, well, pulled a Lindsay last week, she’s been formally charged with drunk driving.

33-year-old Ronson was arrested last week in the California desert after she “displayed signs of alcohol intoxication” and failed the field sobriety tests.

The celebrity DJ was pulled over on the morning of August 2nd, where she was clocked going 89 mph in a 70 mph zone. She was booked in the Barstow Sheriff’s office, where she took her widely-seen smirking mugshot.

According to the Los Angeles Times, she now faces two misdemeanor counts of driving under the influence of alcohol and having a blood-alcohol level of .08 or above.

If convicted, Ronson faces a maximum sentence of 6 months in jail and a $1,000 fine.

Lindsay Lohan says she can’t afford court-ordered psych treatment.

Lindsay Lohan might have to get back to work soon if what she recently told the judge is true. She said she can’t afford court-ordered psychological treatment because she’s strapped for cash.

According to People, Lohan’s attorney, Shawn Chapman Holley, told the judge that Lohan can’t afford to keep up with her UCLA psychological therapy because of “financial issues.” She also can’t do the cheaper group counseling because “paparazzi issues” may arise.

Lohan, currently on probation after being released from house arrest last month, didn’t sway the judge with her financial woes. The judge was still adamant that if she didn’t have a way to pay for it, she needs to find someone who will.

Lohan now has less than three weeks to prove to the judge that she’s enrolled, but she promised she’d make it work.

Lohan hasn’t appeared on screen since last year’s small role in “Machete” and, despite those Gotti movie rumors, she doesn’t have any real work lined up just yet. Except for more court-ordered community service, but that won’t earn her a dime.

She was warned by the judge that she needed to complete the rest of the 60 days before the end of the year. So far, Lohan’s only done four.

Chelsea Handler says she could be done with “Chelsea Lately”

Chelsea Handler got to where she is today thanks to her books about one-night stands and lies she’s told, her penchant for vodka, and her deadpan one-liners on Hollywood messes like Lindsay Lohan and Amy Winehouse. But she says she can’t do it forever.

Handler’s contract with E! is up at the 2012 and she doesn’t see herself talking about celebrities’ latest rehab trips at a roundtable on “Chelsea Lately,” which earns a million devoted viewers a night, for another five years. She sees herself doing something a little more cerebral.

“I want to do something that’s going to utilize my brain a little more than this show,” Chelsea Handler told The Hollywood Reporter in their new cover story. “If ‘Lately’ is the show that I’m going to do, it’s going to change. But it may turn out that I’m done with it altogether I can’t keep doing the same thing; my brain is bleeding. I want to do something that’s more mindful and isn’t celebrity-centered.”

“I want to do something people aren’t expecting from me,” she said. “I want to educate people and deliver news that isn’t just surrounded by Charlie Sheen. I’d like to be able to do the serious stuff in conjunction with the comedy. I’d like to make an impact and have more responsibility than I do now.”

The first steps are “After Lately,” the pseudo-reality show based on the inner workings of her “Chelsea Lately” staff,” which was just renewed for a second season, and the NBC show “Are You There Vodka? It’s Me, Chelsea,” based on her best-selling book which she serves as Executive Producer.

But we just lost Oprah, girl. We’re not ready for the farewell episodes of “Chelsea Lately” just yet.

“I’m not looking to totally bail on E! They’ve done a lot for me, and I like it here,” Handler said. ” If you take away the Kardashians.”

After soaking up some Miami Beach sun with her family, Lindsay Lohan has officially begun her house arrest. She checked in with authorities this morning and is now confined to her Venice, CA townhouse.

According to People, Lohan arrived at the Lynwood Jail at 5:02am Thursday to turn herself in, where the authorities outfitted her with an electronic ankle bracelet.

The 24-year-old actress was released less than an hour later and was ordered home to her Venice digs where she’ll have to spend 35 days, possibly less on good behavior.

“She is now confined to the interior premises of her home at all times,” L.A. Sheriff’s spokesman Steve Whitmore told People.

The sentence is thanks to Lohan pleading no contest to charges that she stole a necklace from a Venice jeweler. She’ll also have to complete 480 hours of community service, which she’ll serve at a women’s shelter and a local morgue.

Brandon Davis has been freed after spending overnight in jail for felony possession of a controlled substance and battery. He was arrested Wednesday night after getting into a fight with a regular on “Chelsea Lately.”

According to TMZ, Davis allegedly punched Ben Gleib, a regular roundtable guest on the E! show, in the face. Cops were called to the Roosevelt Hotel after the incident. When they arrived, they searched Davis and found cocaine.

He was also said to have been denied entry to Beacher’s Madhouse beforehand for his “erratic behavior.”

He was released after posting $10,000 bail.

Davis, the grandson of the former 20th Century Fox owner, infamously called Lindsay Lohan a “firecrotch” in 2006.

Lindsay Lohan wants her father to stop talking about her. The “Mean Girls” actress has always been vocal about her strained relationship with Michael Lohan, but this is the first time that she officially condemns him for his interfering actions since leaving rehab this year. When the father and daughter shortly reunited while she was checked into the Betty Ford Clinic late last year, the public thought that they have reunited for good. But apparently, Michael’s love for publicity is too much for the recovering addict. Just last month, Michael booked her on “Late Show with David Letterman” without her management’s consent. He claimed that Lindsay approved the idea, but her team canceled it the minute they found out. And now, Michael will be entering the reality show “Celebrity Rehab,” which pissed off Lindsay because she knows he will just be talking about her. Lindsay told our source in a statement, “I am sorry that my father has continually chosen to speak publicly about our relationship, my mother, my siblings, and my professional team.” “I am working through my recovery day-by-day and find his public media bouts unnecessary and damaging.” During her latest rehab stint, Michael’s name was frequently brought up. A source close to the actress says that she blames a lot of her problems and issues on Michael. The source said, “His name came up constantly. Lindsay has a lot of unresolved feelings and anger towards Michael.”

Judge who threatened Lindsay Lohan jail no longer on case

Lindsay Lohan may dodge another jail sentence now that the judge who threatened her jail for probation violation is no longer handling her case. Her lawyer Shawn Chapman Holley says the recovering addict’s case in Beverly Hills has been transfer to the LAX courthouse. Judge Fox, who told Lindsay that she would head back to jail if she committed any probation violation, is no longer involved in the case, which has been transferred to Judge Keith Schwartz, another judge who sent her to jail just recently.

Holley told our source, “Beverly Hills case has been transferred to the LAX courthouse and will, from this point forward, be handled by the judge [Schwartz] who is handling the new case.”

“It is customary for alleged probation violations to ‘trail’ – or follow behind – the new case.”

And while Lindsay is facing felony grand theft for allegedly shoplifting a $2,500 necklace, Holley is confident that there’s no there’s no reason why Schwartz should send the actress to prison.

She continued, “If the new case is meritless, as we believe it is, then there is no basis upon which to violate Ms. Lohan’s probation.”

Lindsay will appear in front of Judge Schwartz on February 23 to face her theft charge

Lohan’s Ex-Girlfriend Samantha Ronson Not Happy About Next Door Move-In

Lindsay Lohan’s Ex-Girlfriend Samantha Ronson Not Happy About Next Door Move-In. Lindsay Lohan may be getting over her drug addiction problem, but she needs to get over her ex-girlfriend, Samantha Ronson. After getting released from rehab, the recovering starlet has moved into a Venice, CA pad that is conveniently located right next door to the DJ. Ronson was none too happy when she learned that Lohan, whom she dated on and off from 2008 to 2009, has moved into an apartment that is literally just a few steps from hers. When she tried to get out of her own pad, photographers asked Ronson how she feels about her ex moving in next door. Ronson was  saying, “Trust me, it wasn’t planned… Dude, I’m way too pissed off right now.”  Meanwhile, Lohan is reportedly in danger of facing a possible probation violation. The Riverside County District Attorney believes that she violated her probation when she had a physical altercation with a staff member at the Betty Ford Center. Staffer Dawn Holland revealed that she got into a physical fight with Lindsay when the troubled actress allegedly pushed her hard last month. She decided not to press charges, but the police says the case will still be submitted to the DA. If the judge handling her case thinks she violated her probation, she cold go to jail, according to our source.
