Lindsay Lohan could be released from rehab in the next 10 days

Lindsay Lohan could be released from rehab in the next 10 days. The actress’ attorney Shawn Chapman Holley is to attend a probation modification hearing on Wednesday (25.08.10) in front of Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Elden Fox to assess whether the star needs to continue receiving treatment at the UCLA Medical Center. Lindsay was ordered to spend 90 days in rehab and was sentenced to 90 days in jail for violating the terms of her probation from a 2007 driving under the influence (DUI) conviction. The hearing is being held to discuss whether the 24-year-old star’s imposed rehab stint should be modified to reflect the opinions of her doctors who do not think she needs to be treated for the full 90 days. A source close to Lindsay told us: “She is ready to get out. Lindsay has had a lot of down time, and she is anxious to return to her life. Lindsay misses her family and friends tremendously. Lindsay simply wants her life back.” This week’s hearing is crucial because only Judge Fox can decide whether or not Lindsay is released from rehab early. To secure her release Holley could ask for the terms of her probation to be changed with one possible condition being that she undergoes random drug testing for 12 months.

UCLA Doctors Reportedly Believe Lindsay Lohan Was Wrongly Diagnosed. Lindsay Lohan’s previous diagnosis is incorrect, her doctors at UCLA apparently concluded. The troubled actress reportedly doesn’t suffer from drug or psychiatric problems, and is now up for a shorter rehab stay. Sources familiar with the treatment told our source that doctors determined Lohan isn’t an addict after she was “weaned off” all of her meds – Dilaudid, Ambien, Adderall, Zoloft, Trazodone and Nexium – and had no adverse reaction. She also had no withdrawal issues in the alcohol department. Lohan was apparently misdiagnosed with Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder in the past, which is why she started taking Adderall, though UCLA doctors say she doesn’t have ADHD.   They also believe that she is not bipolar, but she suffers from a personality disorder that is common in society and sometimes partly the result of difficulties one encounters when growing up in Hollywood. The doctors reportedly recommend the maximum amount of time she should spend there is 30 days, followed by outpatient care. Meanwhile, addiction specialist Dr. Joe Haraszti, who is not connected with Lohan’s medical case, told the website that constantly taking Adderall when it’s not needed might have a negative effect on the actress. Those who take Adderall unnecessarily can experience similar effects as those who use cocaine or methamphetamine.

Lindsay Lohan has been released from prison. After spending 13 days behind bars, the troubled actress left the Lynwood, CA jail facility and is now in rehab. Lohan was reportedly due to enter Morningside Recovery rehab after Judge Marsha Revel chose the center for her despite the fact that it wasn’t recommended by court-appointed psychiatrists and other medial professionals.  But according to our source, after they broke the story, Judge Revel changed her mind and ordered Lohan to enter UCLA Medical Center for her treatment. The 24-year-old controversial starlet is expected to spend three months at the center.  It won’t be over for her after her rehab stint, though. Lohan, who entered jail on July 20 for violating her probation, will be subjected to random drug and alcohol testing until August 2011.

Lindsay Lohan To Complete Rehab In CA. Lindsay Lohan doesn’t need to go far for her next rehab date. The incarcerated actress is reportedly getting the court-ordered 90-day treatment in California right after she gets out of jail.  According to our source close to the “Mean Girls” actress claim that the plan is for her to enter a rehab facility in the state so her people can keep close tabs on her progress. Although her estranged father Michael Lohan lobbied for her to enter a facility in Long Island, Lohan won’t need to go that far. Lohan, who is no stranger to entering rehabs, reportedly treated her 2007 visit to Cirque Lodge, a respected rehab facility in Utah, as a joke. That is exactly what her camp wanted to prevent. As to when she will be getting out of jail, although she hopes to get out this week, she is likely to do so or until she completes at least 2 weeks of her 90-day jail sentence

Lindsay Lohan will reportedly enter a rehabilitation clinic offering ‘holistic’ therapies. The 24-year-old actress is due to enter a treatment facility when she is released from prison as part of her sentence for breaching probation and her advisors are said to believe the Malibu Beach Recovery Center in California will be the perfect place for her to receive help for her alleged problem with prescription drugs. Addiction specialist Marty Brenner ‘ who is not connected to Lindsay ‘ explained the centre’s treatment plans to FoxNews.com. He said: ‘t’s based on holistic types of treatment ‘ things like yoga, meditation and focus on a healthy nutritious diet.  ‘t isn’t a 12-step programme, but it is a place that will probably be very good for Lindsay. Right now, any place that’s going to help her detox and get off the prescription medications will be good for her.’ According to the facility’s website, Lindsay’s treatment would include a special diet ‘based on the finest traditions of French cuisine’ that bands white rice, white bread, potatoes, sugar and caffeine, and she would also be asked to take a series of ‘bio-active supplements’ to complement an exercise programme. Although Lindsay is expected to serve less than two weeks of her 90-day jail sentence, experts believe she is unlikely to have her 90-day rehab stint cut short. Marty added: ‘n Lindsay’s case, a 30-day program just isn’t enough for her. The judge knows that, and won’t be letting her off a day early.’ The actress’ legal representative did not respond for comment. Lindsay was sentenced to 90 days in prison followed by a 90-day stint in rehab for violating the terms of probation set following her 2007 conviction for driving under the influence.

Lindsay Lohan is now in prison. The troubled actress entered the Beverly Hills courthouse at around 8.30 am Pacific Daylight Time today (20.07.10), where she was remanded in custody to begin her 90-day jail sentence for breaking the terms of her probation on her 2007 driving under the influence (DUI) charge. Lindsay was in court with her on/off attorney Shawn Chapman Holley, when Judge Marsha Revel ordered the cameras to be cut off as the 24-year-old actress surrendered to authorities and was led away by bailiffs to begin her sentence at the Century Regional Detention Facility in Linwood, California. During the brief hearing, Judge Revel admitted she had no idea how many days exactly Lindsay would serve, but because of overcrowding at the detention facility in Lynwood, California, it is likely she won’t be incarcerated for more than three weeks. She said: ‘ do not know exactly how long the jail will keep her. I can only impose the sentence.’ Lindsay didn’t speak during the brief court appearance, but nervously watched on, biting her nails. It was also revealed in court that Robert Shapiro ‘ who claimed to have quit as Lindsay’s lawyer last night (19.07.10) ‘ was never officially hired to represent her, and only worked as a ‘consultant’ on the case. Shapiro apparently joined Lindsay’s legal team earlier in the week after Holley resigned, and then allowed her to stay in the Pickford Lofts sober living house he founded following the death of his son Brent to substance abuse. Holley told the court: ‘Just to be clear, Mr. Shapiro acted as a consultant but was not an attorney on the case at any time.’ Judge Revel ‘ who confirmed he visited her yesterday to warn her he wouldn’t be working with Lindsay – - answered: ‘ never actually relieved you, so you are Miss Lohan’s attorney.’ The judge also told Lindsay she had amended the conditions of her sentence slightly, ordering her to enter a rehabilitation facility within 24 hours of leaving prison instead of the 48 she originally set. She said: ‘ would like the transition to be sooner rather than later and I would like to speak to counsel about it in more detail.’

Lindsay Lohan Isn’t Weeping, She’s Sneezing: The MTV News Quote Of The Day. “The media creates its images in just seconds, so they can interpret reality as they imagine it. If I sneeze, photos are published in which I am said to be weeping bitterly. And if I keep my hand in front of my mouth and nose, it’s the same; I was hungover and had a hard night of heavy partying behind me. You can’t imagine to what extent this has been accepted.” -Beleaguered actress and singer Lindsay Lohan, speaking to the German version of GQ magazine about how she is perceived by the public. The magazine caught up with Lohan at the Cannes Film Festival, just before her legal troubles accelerated (she reports to a Los Angeles correctional facility on Tuesday, July 20). The interview focused a great deal on Lohan’s public life, which she says is getting in the way of actually getting work done. “When I started working in the industry, I wanted to get to the very top — and I was painted as something completely different from what I really was,” she told the magazine. “Nowadays in Hollywood, it is so much more about celebrities and gossip, which can distract many great actors from their actual ability. The public comes to know so much about these people that it gets superimposed upon on their work in movies. I love what I do, so I have to be able to handle it.” Still, she says that she will not turn her back on her chosen craft. “I like to tell stories that people can learn something from,” she said. “And I like the concept of film: to put yourself in a dark room, hide from the world from a few hours, and discover the similarities about yourself and the screen. I love it so much that I certainly won’t stop, even if circumstances change.”

Lindsay Lohan’s Lawyer Quits On Her. Lindsay Lohan’s lawyer has quit. Shawn Chapman Holley has resigned as the “Mean Girls” actress’ legal defender just a few days after Lohan was sentenced to 90 days in jail. Holley confirmed that she has resigned, but would not release any more details. Lohan is now being repped by Tiffany Feder-Cohen, who was just admitted to the bar in November, according to our source. Before she resigned though, Holley was able to address the “harsh” sentence handed down by Judge Marsha Revel to the troubled actress. She released a statement hours before she resigned, saying, “Ms. Lohan and I are extremely disappointed in the sentence handed down by Judge Revel. We believe that the penalty is far harsher than what others would have received under similar circumstances.” “The reality is that Ms. Lohan, like most defendants, had to balance work commitments with court requirements. To be punished so severely for doing so, particularly in light of the fact that she substantially complied with each of her probationary conditions, is harsh and unfair.”

According to her Twitter claim, a “waitress just hit me – punched me for no reason” during her night out.It sounds dubious, but according to an Us magazine source, she was telling the truth. The witness said, “The waitress has a history with Doug Reinhardt, and Lohan was hanging out with him. She was jealous, and out of nowhere, the waitress punched her in the face! Doug didn’t want any part of it and went to the other side of the booth. Lohan ran out.”Apparently, Lohan and the waitress saw each other again after the sometimes-actress went to a party at the nearby Rockstar House. Another source told the magazine, “Lohan showed up and cried because the waitress was there as well.”

Lindsay Lohan To Be Sued Over Non-Payment Of Shopping Bill.   Troubled Lindsay Lohan is in legal trouble again. This coming Friday an L.A. boutique is set to file a lawsuit against the controversial semi-actress for racking up thousands of shopping bills and refusing to pay. According to the suit obtained by TMZ, Church, a store that sells expensive clothes and accessories, alleges that Lohan shopped at the boutique between November 2009 and this February. She apparently racked up a $17,060.83 bill, saying her business manager would pay the tab. However, the business manager only managed to pay $180 in total. The suit alleges Lohan committed premeditated fraud because she “had no intention of causing her business manager to pay the entire balance.” Church relied on Lohan’s “well known status as a movie actress with substantial income.”  The store wants the balance, $16,880.63, paid plus interest and punitive damages.
