It lasted just 72 days. Maybe longer than some had suspected.
On Monday, Kim Kardashian filed for divorce from her professional basketball player husband Kris Humphries.
Ryan Seacrest, who produces her family’s hit TV show, tweeted Monday morning, ” Yes@kimkardashian is filing for divorce this morning. I touched base with her, getting a statement in just a few mins.
The marriage was highly promoted and celebrated by E! network. Two episodes of “Keeping Up With the Kardashians” were devoted to the over-the-top $10 million wedding.
At issue was Humphries partying on Kim’s dollars while the reality TV queen was working overtime on her multitude of moneymaking ventures.
Kim filed to end her marriage on the grounds of irreconcilable differences.
While most celebrities want to keep their wedding dates under wraps, Kim Kardashian and Kris Humphries’ invites have already hit the Internet, revealing the big date and location.
After weeks of speculation as to just where Kim and Kris will tie the knot, People was able to obtain a wedding invitation and revealed that the wedding is set for Aug. 20.
According to People, the invite arrived at guests’ homes in a box with hundreds of black hematite crystals.
The mostly black-and-white invite, designed by Lehr & Black (who was also responsible for her sister Khloe and Lamar Odom’s invitations), simply reveal the location as Montecito, CA.
We’re sure it won’t be hard to locate the festivities with all the paparazzi trying to get a glimpse of them saying “I do” during their black tie affair.
Kardashian, 30, and Humphries, 26, were engaged on May 18 when the New Jersey Nets player popped the question with a 20.5-carat ring.
Kim Kardashian is not wasting any time getting started with wedding plans. And she’s not depending on any old designer to help her with a dress.
Kim and sister Kourtney took to the streets of New York City on Monday in search for Kim’s dream dress. The two headed to the Vera Wang boutique.
While Kim has not released many details about her upcoming nuptials, a Vera Wang gown seems very likely. Kim’s sister Khloe wore a dress designed by Wang for her own wedding day.
Kim, who is recently engaged to Kris Humphries, is currently planning a wedding fort this year.
Heidi Klum doesn’t usually have trouble getting people’s attention and she certainly doesn’t now.
Klum’s appearance in the new ad for this season of Project Runway will definitely have people talking.
In the ad, Klum is holding a pair of scissors and a tie that has been cut-and that’s it. Hopefully Klum will manage to find some clothes after the designers of the season are put to work.
Klum says, “This is definitely sexier than past campaigns we’ve done. I guess you could say ‘Hans and Franz’ are celebrating season 9.”
Judges this season include Klum, Michael Kors, and Nina Garcia. Tim Gunn maintains his role as a mentor to contestants. Celebrity judges such as Kim Kardashian and Zoe Saldana will also make appearances.
The new season premieres July 28 at 9 p.m. on Lifetime.
Don’t believe everything you read, Kim Kardashian says. The reality star is shooting down the rumors and now OK Magazine cover story that say she’s pregnant.
Kim is pictured on the cover of the new OK issue with the headline “I’m Having A Baby.” The magazine adds she’s revealed the news to her friends and family and can’t stop crying. But Kim is crying false.
“This is crazy! I am NOT pregnant!” Kim Kardashian wrote on her blog. “Magazines can be so tricky with their wording! The inside states that one day I want a baby! But I’m not pregnant!”
After news of her engagement and huge diamond ring died down, it was only a matter of time before stories of is-she-or-isn’t-she-preggers started to flood the tabloids. But Kim says she’ll keep fans updated on her own fertility news herself.
“I can foresee lots of crazy, made up stories coming out in the near future and I certainly don’t have time to shut down every rumor,” Kim added. “But believe that if you hear it from me, it will be true. Otherwise, don’t always believe what you read, dolls.”
Kim Kardashian is finally keeping up with her sisters. She just got engaged to her boyfriend Kris Humphries of the New Jersey Nets.
They’ve only been dating for six months, but Humphries popped the question last week. According to People, he was waiting for her in her bedroom on one knee with “Will you marry me?” written in rose petals.
The 30-year-old star, of course, said yes. “I didn’t expect this at all,” Kardashian told People. “I was in such shock. I never thought it would happen at home, and I never thought now.”
We’re sure the ring didn’t hurt at all. Humphries had a custom-designed, 20.5-carat Lorraine Schwartz diamond ring made just for Kim. “I just knew I wanted it to be big,” Humphries said.
The happy couple will cover the new issue of People with all the details, and we’re sure it won’t be long before we see a “Kim & Kris Take Their Vows” show on E!

Lady Gaga, Kim Kardashian And More To “Die” Digitally For Charity. Some of Facebook and Twitter’s most popular members are quitting the social network sites to raise money for charity. Lady Gaga, Kim Kardashian, Justin Timberlake, and Alicia Keys are joining Digital Life Sacrifice, a campaign to raise money for Keep a Child Alive. The celebrities have already filmed their “last tweet and testament” videos in preparation for their “death” from the digital world on World AIDS Day, Wednesday. The initiative, organized by Keys’ Keep a Child Alive charity, will see the stars quit their Facebook and Twitter accounts on Wednesday, and won’t log back in until $1 million has been raised. Jennifer Hudson, Usher, Ryan Seacrest, Elijah Wood, Serena Williams, and Keys’ husband, Swizz Beatz, are also joining the innovative campaign. Keep a Child Alive cares for the families, especially children, in Africa affected by the HIV/AIDS. President and co-founder of the charity, Leigh Blake, said, “We’re trying to sort of make the remark: Why do we care so much about the death of one celebrity as opposed to millions and millions of people dying in the place that we’re all from?” He added that Lady Gaga, who has more than 7 million followers on Twitter and almost 24 million Facebook fans, may even be able to raise the $1million “all by herself.
