Jennifer Lopez and her estranged husband Marc Anthony have been pictured together for the first time since their split.
The couple were seen in the backseat of a red Mustang convertible near Sagg Main Beach in Southampton, New York, TMZ are reporting.
They appeared to be relaxed and happy and were joined by two companions who sat in the front.
Marc’s representative said that he was in town to visit his children.
The Latin singer has five children: one out of wedlock, two with his first wife Dayanara Torres and three-year-old twins Max and Emme with Jennifer.
It was officially announced on Wednesday that Jennifer will be returning for Season 11 of American Idol and she is rumoured to have received a bumper pay rise taking her salary from $12 million to $20 million.
Us Weekly reported that despite issuing a statement on July 15 that they were ending their seven-year marriage, Marc still wants to make things work with Jennifer.
‘His mood shifts from blaming her to begging her to take him back to telling her she is destroying his life,’ a source told the magazine.
Marc is said to have been ‘difficult on every little point’ during negotiations for their impending divorce as he ‘wants to prolong things so she reconsiders’.
Jennifer Lopez is reportedly asking for a £21million deal to return to American Idol.
There has been no official confirmation that the songstress will take her place on the judging panel on the hit show once again, but according to reports show executives are confident she will return.
Sources suggest Jennifer was holding out for a pay package to rival what Simon Cowell was earning when he was a judge on the programme.
The British TV mogul pocketed £21million per year for his appearance on the popular series, which is almost three times the rumoured £8million Jennifer was paid for her stint on the talent contest this year.
Jennifer has begun negotiations with TV bosses, who insist the outcome will be a positive one. FremantleMedia North American chief executive Cécile Frot-Coutaz says the discussions are currently headed in the right direction.
“We’re in good shape. No worries. No dark clouds on the horizon,’ she said.
Jennifer, who would take her seat on the judging panel alongside Steven Tyler and Randy Jackson, celebrated her 42nd birthday on a yacht off Miami, Florida, on Sunday.
The stunning star has had a tough time of late, having announced her split from husband Marc Anthony just over a week ago.
Even though Jennifer Lopez announced last week that she was ending her seven-year marriage to singer Marc Anthony, she wasn’t going let her divorce dampen her weekend birthday celebration.
Lopez, who turned 42 on Sunday, kicked off her birthday weekend celebration by Friday with a dip in the pool at her condo with family and friends, reports People magazine.
The “On The Floor” singer then enjoyed a pre-birthday dinner at the Wine Cellar of the Forge restaurant on Miami Beach, a spot she’s been to before with Anthony.
A source told People: “It was very secluded and beautiful among the bottles with bold and vibrant labels. The meal was served on a long rectangle mirrored table with cloud-like chandeliers hanging above.”
According to the celebrity magazine, the restaurant’s pastry chef surprised the singer with a special chocolate soufflé for desert, which the waiters sang her “Happy Birthday.”
On Saturday afternoon, Lopez headed out to Bal Harbor shops, located just north of South Beach, for a shopping spree that included new outfits for her three-year-old twins, Emme and Max.
Later that night, the “American Idol” judge continued the celebration over a lavish dinner at a restaurant at the Fountainbleau hotel in Miami Beach with a group of 16 people, in which included her sister, mother and longtime stylist.
“Jennifer looked radiant in a purple and silver evening dress,” a source told the celebrity magazine. “And when they brought out her birthday cake after the meal, she began to sing. She was very happy. The whole group had a blast, staying for hours.
“They closed down the restaurant.”
Lopez, who took a break from filming “What to Expect When You’re Expecting” in Atlanta to enjoy the South Florida sun, spent most of Sunday sending thank you replies to her Twitter followers for their birthday wishes.
“Thank you all of my Lovers for the birthday wishes,” she tweeted. “I’m having an amazing day surrounded by family and friends.”
The singer-and-actress ‘ who, last week, announced her seven-year marriage to Marc Anthony was over ‘ flew into the Ukraine yesterday morning (19.07.11), to perform at the nuptials of billionaire Serhiy Taruta’s daughter in the evening.
A source told Us Weekly magazine: “He’s a wealthy guy who wanted J.Lo and was willing to pay top dollar.”
Following her separation with Marc, friends close to Jennifer ‘ who has three-year-old twins, Max and Emme, with the Latino singer ‘ she has thrown herself into work as it is helping her cope.
One pal said: “She is jumping back into work and being a mom with all her energy and she is really excited. She feels like she has grown leaps and bounds and is a new person now, better than ever!”
Both Jennifer and Marc ‘ who married in 2004 ‘ admit it was a “difficult decision” to end their relationship.
They said in a statement: “We have decided to end our marriage. This was a very difficult decision. We have come to an amicable conclusion on all matters.
“It is a painful time for all involved and we appreciate the respect of our privacy at this time.”
When Jennifer Lopez cast a leading Spanish soap opera sex symbol for her latest music video “I’m Into You,” she was still happily married to Marc Anthony. But now that her and Marc have split, rumors are swelling about a relationship between her and her video co-star.
Lopez hit the ancient Myan ruins and the beaches of Mexico for the clip, and she was on the hunt for an equally hot co-star. Lopez told Extra just how she came across the star.
”I called my cousins and I said ‘Who’s the hottest guy right now?’ and they’re like William Levy! And I was like, ‘Okay, let’s get William Levy!” she told Extra.
Levy, 30, is currently a lead on the Mexican soap opera Triunfo del Amor. But since the divorce announcement, the Cuban model/actor has since been thrust into tabloid stories that have reported that he may be the reason for the dissolution of Lopez and Anthony’s marriage.
Levy, who was named one of “Los 25 hombres más guapos (the 25 sexiest men)” by People en Español, has had to issue a statement shooting down those rumors of any kind of relationship with Lopez.
”My thoughts are with Jennifer & Marc during this very hard time. My relationship with Jennifer has been strictly professional,” William Levy said in a statement.
“These alleged rumors suggesting something more personal are 100% false and inaccurate. My best wishes go out to them and their family,” he added.
Earlier this year, around the time that the video had been shot, William Levy and actress Elizabeth Gutierrez announced they had ended their 8-year relationship, which added fuel to the reports of a relationship between Lopez and Levy.
The announcement of Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony’s split may have been a shock to celebrity watchers, but could there have been signs on her new album?
According to People magazine, her most anticipated seventh studio album, “Love?,” the lyrics of two of songs may suggest relationship problems between the two.
In her latest single “Starting Over,” the 41-year-old singer refers to “my man” as a “dog” and a “player,” and sings that she’s watching “these dreams falling apart at the seams.”
Although she did not write the song–the credit goes to songwriter and producer Wynter Gordon–she must have had some input.
“All his secrets, all his lies, I just keep pushing ‘em out my mind,” she sings. “I just can’t leave him, I can’t go, I got my reasons, I got my pride, I got these kids, had this love.”
In “One Love,” a song she was very much involved in writing, Lopez pleads for the other to understand how much she loves him.
“You and and I have been around each other for a while,” she sings. “ But I don’t think that you understand the way I feel for you.”
Last March, Lopez told USA Today her new album was not a negative album in any way.
“It’s really a great dance-pop-urban album that talks about all of the different facets of love in all its glory and all its pain.”
But many may have overlooked another sign of marriage woes between Lopez and Anthony at the recent BAFTA event in Los Angeles with Prince William and Kate, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge
The “On The Floor” singer, who is usually accompanied by her husband at red carpet events, turned up with her mother instead.
During the interview with USA Today, Lopez said that she and Anthony “challenge each other in a way that only the two of us could. It’s awesome.”
It’s over for Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony. After seven years of marriage, the superstar couple are calling it quits.
“We have decided to end our marriage,” Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony told People a statement. “This was a very difficult decision. We have come to an amicable conclusion on all matters.”
”It is a painful time for all involved and we appreciate the respect of our privacy at this time,” the statement continued.
Lopez and Anthony married in a secret ceremony on June 5th, 2004, less than a week after Anthony’s divorce from Dayanara Torres was finalized on June 1st of that year. It was his second marriage and Lopez’s third.
Lopez, 41, and Anthony, 42, reportedly dated briefly in the 90′s before Anthony’s first marriage and re-united for their duet “No Me Ames” in 1999 and again for “Escapémonos” in 2004.
They were also set to be working with “American Idol” producer Simon Fuller for a Latin music competition, tentatively titled “Que Viva.”
The couple has two children, 3-year-old twins Max and Emme.
The 41-year-old singer’ who has three-year-old twins Max and Emme with husband Marc Anthony ‘ is envious of the facts the tots “see everything”, and have already experienced many wonderful things, despite their young age.
She said: “They see everything, they go and do so much more then I have ever done in my whole life, in all my travels, and they’re only three.”
As well as being a mother to Max and Emme, Jennifer judges ‘American Idol’ alongside Randy Jackson and Steven Tyler.
However, having had to audition in front of music executives many times herself, the ‘On The Floor’ hitmaker admitted she is careful not to crush the spirits of any hopefuls.
She explained in an interview with UK radio station KISS fm: “I’ve been in that position, many times where I had to put myself out there and audition for somebody and I just thought to myself how would I want somebody to tell me it’s not going to work out this time or whatever constructive criticism I can give them in a way that they don’t walk away with a crushed spirit.”
The ‘American Idol’ judge is a big fan of the ‘Born This Way’ singer and insists creative people like Gaga make her want to be more experimental with her own music.
Speaking about the phenomenal success Gaga has achieved, J.Lo said: “I’m always motivated by other artists and inspired by them. They inspire me because when I see other people doing great things, it makes me want to do great things too.”
Lopez got to experience Gaga’s talents up close when she worked with her on the tracks ‘Hypnotico’ and ‘Invading My Mind’ for her latest album ‘Love?’.
In an interview with MTV News, the ‘On the Floor’ hitmaker revealed: ‘ love her (Gaga’s) sense of lyric and melody, I feel like she’s very interesting. It’s just not something you’re gonna hear every day.”
She added: ‘ really love the records she worked on and was glad to be able to take those and make them my own and actually have that collaboration with her. I feel very lucky to have done that.”
Despite her admiration for Gaga, Lopez has no plans to copy some of the 25-year-old musician’s more outrageous antics, which have included wearing a meat dress to the MTV Video Music Awards last year and arriving at this year’s Grammys in an ‘egg’.
Lopez, 41, said: ‘ never am one to look at other people and try to do what they do. I always feel like a true artist does what they do and it is very individual to who they are.
‘You can’t copy or do anything like that it just becomes weird but if you’re true to yourself and push your own boundaries and your limits, you can’t help but come out with something great.”
The ‘American Idol’ judge and her husband singer Marc Anthony will travel to 21 countries across the Americas where they will ask local people to help them find “world’s most extraordinary talent” for ‘Q’Viva! The Chosen’.
Jennifer said: “With this show we hope for the first time to unite all of the Latin cultures and make something that makes everybody proud. This is like me being able to really, really go, ‘I am Latina, and this is who we are! Isn’t it fabulous? Isn’t it amazing? Doesn’t it bring tears to your eyes and make you want to dance and smile and jump and stay up all night?’”
The couple will work with tour director Jamie King and according to Jennifer, will travel to “places people wouldn’t normally look, where all of this rich talent lives and wouldn’t normally be discovered,” including clubs, bars, dance studios and festivals.
Marc added they hope to be “literally guided by the [local] people, leaving no stone unturned”.
The people discovered on their travels will be brought to Hollywood, where they will be mentored by the stars to create “the ultimate live show.”
Jennifer explained: “It really is a show for the 21st century. It’s unprecedented in that it’s global and it’s local. We’re going to do our best make the most amazing show that the world has ever seen.”
