Following a yearlong investigation, FBI officials on Wednesday identified the man they say hacked into the email accounts of nearly 50 celebrities, including those of Scarlett Johansson, Christina Aguilera and Mila Kunis.
The suspect, Christopher Chaney, an unemployed 35-year-old from Jacksonville, FL, apparently didn’t do it for the money, FBI officials say. Chaney allegedly worked from his home computer to mine data from magazines and websites, including posts on Twitter and Facebook to get passwords. The name of a dog, a favorite movie, an old address, or a sister’s name all aided his efforts.
Officials said that once Chaney obtained passwords, he could then gain access to the stars’ address books, photos and other files. He used an email forwarding program that automatically duplicated any messages the star received into his account.
Cheney allegedly began his hacking in November 2010 when he tapped into Christina Aguilera’s email and later posted pictures of the singer in a revealing photo. In December, Chaney managed to hack Mila Kunis’ accounts and stole several pictures. That same month, Chaney tapped into Scarlett Johansson’s accounts that contained several nude pictures. The photos soon circulated on several celebrity websites.
Cheney was arrested this week in Jacksonville and faces up to 121 years in prison if found guilty on all counts.
The mooted duet between Maroon 5′s Adam Levine and Christina Aguilera has been posted online.
The song is actually credited as “Maroon 5 featuring Christina Aguilera” and is called ‘Moves Like Jagger’.
It’s a electro house stomper and the ‘featuring’ attribution is correct, Aguilera doesn’t sing anything beyond a ‘yeah’ until over two minutes in.
Aguilera posted an audio-only YouTube of the song on her website, with a blood-red cover of her and Levine’s faces.
But Maroon 5 posted a very neon lyrics YouTube of the song on their website, and a link to buy the single on iTunes.
The one-off collaboration stemmed from Levine and Aguilera both being judges on the NBC talent show The Voice.
Now we just have to wait for the other two judges, Cee-Lo Green the soul machine and country star Blake Shelton, to team up.
The Maroon 5 frontman ‘ who judges the talent show alongside Christina, Cee Lo Green and country singer Blake Shelton ‘ insists his alleged tension with the ‘Beautiful’ hitmaker is purely “reality TV fodder” and their professional relationship is “fine”.
Asked by US chat show host Jay Leno whether the pair get along, Adam said: “They fabricate a lot of that ‘ a lot of that’s reality television fodder.
“She’s fine, we bicker like brother and sister.”
Christina recently explained her role on the show ‘ which offers a $100,000 recording contact to the eventual winner ‘ is about providing positivity and being “completely involved” with the acts.
She said: “There is no good and bad. This isn’t about tearing people down. I want to bring these people up.
“We’re looking to get more involved with people starting out just like we did. We’re not just making commentary and then going home. We’re getting completely involved. I wish there was a show like this when I was starting. I’m ready to share it all.”
Christina Aguilera admits neither she nor her ex-husband were ‘angels’ during their marriage.
The 30-year-old singer-and-actress split from music executive Jordan Bratman last October ‘ with their divorce finalised in April 2011 ‘ and Christina is adamant both of them played a part in destroying the relationship.
In an interview with W magazine, the blonde star ‘ who has a three-year-old son Max with Jordan – said: ‘At one time or another we were both not angels. It got to a point where our life at home was reminding me of my own childhood. I will not have my son grow up in a tension-filled home. I knew there would be a negative reaction in the press to my divorce, but I am not going to live my life because of something someone might say. That goes against everything I sing on my records. I have to be myself.’
Christina endured a tough childhood, during which she witnessed her father Fausto emotionally and physically abuse her mother Shelly and she admits she sought comfort in songs – especially in the musical ‘The Sound of Music’, which features the numbers ‘Maria’ and ‘Edelweiss’.
The ‘Fighter’ singer ‘ who is now in a relationship with Matthew Rutler, who she met on the set of her film ‘Burlesque’ – explained: ‘ felt caged by my childhood. And unsafe: Bad things happened in my home; there was violence. The ‘Sound of Music’ looked like a form of release. I would open my bedroom window to sing out like Maria. In my own way, I’d be in those hills.’
Christina Aguilera says she was not an “angel” to her ex-husband during her marriage. The 30-year-old “The Voice” judge, who has a 3-year-old son named Max with music executive Jordan Bratman, told W magazine that both were to blame for the demise of their marriage.
“At one time or another we were both not angels. It got to a point where our life at home was reminding me of my own childhood. I will not have my son grow up in a tension-filled home,” she said.
The singer and Bratman’s divorce was finalized in April.
As a child, Aguilera admitted to seeking comfort in musicals like “The Sound of Music” to escape the harsh realities of her family life, which consisted of her mother being emotionally and physically abused by her father.
“I felt caged by my childhood. And unsafe: Bad things happened in my home; there was violence. The ‘Sound of Music’ looked like a form of release,” she explained. “I would open my bedroom window to sing out like Maria. In my own way, I’d be in those hills.”
The “Beautiful” singer, who is now in a relationship with production assistant Matthew Rutler and is set to release a new single with “The Voice” colleague and Maroon 5 frontman Adam Levine next week, said she wanted to be true to herself even if her divorce was going to be played out in the press.
“I knew there would be a negative reaction in the press to my divorce, but I am not going to live my life because of something someone might say. That goes against everything I sing on my records. I have to be myself.”
“The Voice” airs on Tuesdays on NBC
The pop star’s marriage to music executive Jordan Bratman was legally ended on (15.04.11) in California after the required six-month waiting period from the date divorce papers were filed by Christina in October 2010 had elapsed.
The former couple had already finalized a settlement in February and had agreed to share custody of their three-year-old son Max, although the specific terms of their care agreement have not been made public.
It is believed they divided their assets according to their prenuptial agreement.
Christina – who is now dating 25-year-old Matt Rutler, who she met when he worked as an assistant on her film ‘Burlesque’ – recently admitted she has learned to laugh about the “hiccups” in her personal life.
The singer-and-actress – who was arrested for public intoxication along with Matt in March – previously said: “I can laugh about my own hiccups and my own experiences in life because I’m getting through it … In light of the past year, there have been obvious setbacks. I’ve gone through a really hard divorce, and anyone who has gone through a divorce will speak about how hard the journey is from start to finish. It’s a life-uprooting time and there have been hiccups along the way that unfortunately the whole world gets to witness and judge.”
Christina Aguilera will not be charged following her arrest in the early hours of yesterday morning (01.03.11) for public intoxication. Although the ‘Burlesque’ star was taken into custody in West Hollywood, Los Angeles, at 2.45am along with her boyfriend Matthew Rutler – who was arrested for driving under the influence (DUI) – she will not be prosecuted with any crime according to Sheriff’s department spokesman, Steve Whitmore. However the 30-year-old singer ‘ who was picked up from West Hollywood Sheriff’s substation by a friend this morning after passing a sobriety test – will have a record for misdemeanour public intoxication. Spokesman Whitmore revealed that after pulling over Matthew’s car police noticed Christina ‘was not capable of taking care of herself’ and so was arrested and taken into custody. He said: ‘She wasn’t able to take care of herself. She wasn’t belligerent, she just wasn’t capable of taking care of herself. ‘f a person is incapacitated the deputy on the scene makes that decision. But because both of them were under the influence.she wasn’t able to take care of herself.so for the safety of the individual we brought her here until she could fend for herself.’ Christina’s boyfriend Matthew – who she met on the set of ‘Burlesque’ and started dating after splitting from husband Jordan Bratman last year – has been charged with DUI, and released on bail.
The Granddad of Darkness and the Pre-Pubescent Of Pop will appear in a Super Bowl advert together. Reuters reports that Justin Bieber, and Sharon and Ozzy Osbourne have filmed a commercial for US electronics chain Best Buy. They shot it in Los Angeles early in January but no details about the content of the advert have been revealed. Super Bowl ads have become an artform in themselves, as brands spend millions on creating them and paying for airtime to reach an audience of over 100 million. Other music megastars will appear at the game. Christina Aguilera is booked to sing the national anthem and the Black Eyed Peas will feature during the halftime show. The 2011 Super Bowl ‘ Green Bay Packers versus Pittsburgh Steelers ‘ will take place in Dallas on February 6.
After being in the pop music game for 13 years, Christina Aguilera is set to perform the National Anthem at the upcoming Super Bowl for the first time in Texas on Feb 6th. While the five-time Grammy-winner and “Burlesque” star will perform the anthem for the first time, she’s no stranger to the Super Bowl stage. She performed as part of the Super Bowl Halftime Show in 2000, alongside Enrique Iglesias and Phil Collins. The Black Eyed Peas will perform the Super Bowl Halftime Show this year when the Pittsburgh Steelers play the Green Bay Packers at Cowboys Stadium in Arlington, Texas. Aguilera follows country superstar Carrie Underwood who performed the National Anthem at the 2010 Super Bowl event last year. “Dreamgirls” star Jennifer Hudson performed it the year before. Other stars who’ve performed “The Star-Spangled Banner” at the annual event include Whitney Houston, Diana Ross, Mariah Carey, Beyonce Knowles, Billy Joel, and Neil Diamond.
Dating a celebrity has its perks. While it would have taken production assistant Matt Rutler a while to save up the chunk of change necessary to buy a brand new car, his girlfriend Christina Aguilera just bought it for him! This Cinderella story now has its carriage. The two were seen in a silver 2011 Mustang GT, complete with custom red interior. The car starts at $30,000 and, as far as we know, it wasn’t even his birthday. Aguilera will be taking the passenger seat as she usually does as Rutler is not only her boyfriend but usually her chauffer, constantly driving the “Burlesque” star around…so at least he’ll be comfy. But the Gossip Cop tried to put a stop to the rumors, saying that sources revealed to the site that the car wasn’t a gift from X-tina. “He bought that car himself,” a friend of Aguilera’s reportedly told the site.
