Britney Spears is planning to rent a beachfront home in Malibu for the summer.
The singer was spotted looking around a property over the weekend. She was dressed casually as she took photos of the house with her fiancé Jason Trawick and her two sons Sean Preston and Jayden James.
“The house she checked out is for lease at just under $14,900 a month, and is also for sale for $7 million, but Brit’s people said she was only interested in a summer rental,” a source told RadarOnline.
Britney was also accompanied by her assistant and a team of bodyguards. The 30-year-old X Factor judge is believed to have spent around four hours looking at the house.
“They all seemed to really love it,” the source added.
The five-bedroom property is situated on the sand and boasts stunning ocean views and decking on each of its three levels. It also has a newly re-modelled kitchen, vaulted ceilings, 4.5 bathrooms, and the master suite situated at the top of the house has its own private sun deck. There is a studio apartment attached.
Britney last lived in Malibu when she was married to Kevin Federline.
Britney Spears reportedly constantly looks at her fiancé for ‘reassurance’ while shooting The X Factor.
The singer is a new panellist on the American TV programme and it’s been claimed she is struggling to settle into the role. Although Britney enjoys being a part of the show, she is thought to be worried about her comments to contestants.
Her fiancé Jason Trawick ‘ one of the co-conservators who look after Britney’s personal and professional affairs ‘ is always nearby when the cameras are rolling, which comforts the star.
‘Jason is never more than striking distance away from her and Britney constantly looks at him for reassurance after everything she says,’ a source told UK magazine Heat. ‘But despite Jason doing everything they can to keep her on track, insiders say Britney is finding the experience nerve-wracking ordeal and keeps threatening to quit. She’s even been heard sounding upset in her dressing room.’
Britney has impressed audiences at the auditions and reportedly reacted well when someone she worked with on her first record tried out recently.
‘The crowd go crazy every time she walks in,’ the source said. ‘But she’s like a deer in the headlights.
Britney Spears is set to take her “Femme Fatale” show to London’s O2 Arena next month and, while there, she would love to have the royal seal of approval. She hopes to perform for Prince William and Kate Middleton and is inviting them to one of her shows. Spears tells Glamour UK, which she covers this month, how cool she considers the possibility of having the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge in attendance at her show, which has had celebrity attendees such as Lady Gaga and the Kardashians.
“That would be amazing. That would be really crazy and cool,” Spears said. “I think they’re a beautiful couple. Unfortunately I didn’t get to watch the wedding but I heard it was beautiful.”
The princess of pop had her chance at being real royalty. She was Prince William’s teenage crush. She says she finds it “hilarious” and “had no idea” that she was once the object of his puppy love.
Spears continues her “Femme Fatale Tour” later this month, kicking off the second leg in Russia on Sept. 22. She finally hits England at the end of October for a few shows before she does another full leg in South America.
Britney Spears reportedly finds claims made against her by her former bodyguard ‘heartbreaking’.
Fernando Flores is an ex-police officer and is suing the singer for sexual harassment. In court papers he accused Britney of being ‘personally unkempt, saying she broke wind and picked her nose regularly and used to walk around naked in front of him.
He’s suing for $10 million in damages and alleges the singer made ‘repeated, unwanted sexual advances’. Britney is said to be devastated by the claims made against her.
‘After 15 years in the industry Britney is pretty tough,’ a source told Look magazine. ‘But that doesn’t mean things like this don’t hurt her. For the last four years her priority has been to be a good mom to her sons Sean Preston and Jayden James. The idea that somebody could jeopardise that is just heartbreaking.’
Britney’s family and her team have completely refuted Fernando’s claims, insisting there is no truth in them at all. They see the allegations as a way for someone to make money from the 29-year-old star.
If Nicki Minaj has to keep putting this kind of money in a swear jar, let’s hope she’s earning big bucks touring with Britney Spears and with her music. After a recent performance in Jamaica, Minaj had to pony up $1,000.
At a performance at Reggae Sumfest 2011 in Montego Bay, Jamaica, Nicki’s explicit lyrics and “sexually suggestive dance moves” during her headlining set caused her to receive a summons from police.
According to the Jamaica Observer, she received the summons as she exited the Catherine Hall Entertainment Complex, but didn’t fight it. She pleaded guilty and paid the fine of $1,000.
She made no mention of it during her tweets after the show, which means it must not have been too much sweat off her back.
“OMG!!! I swear I just had the TIME of my LIFE @ ReggaeSumFest in JAMAICA!!!! Jamaica I fell in love tonite! WOWWW!!!!” Minaj tweeted after the show.
Luckily, her stage pal Spears wasn’t Minaj’s set with her or she definitely would’ve been guilty of those “sexually suggestive dance moves.” And Minaj’s set would have been real short had she cut out the explicit stuff (one song is entirely about defecating on people).
But Minaj couldn’t have been the only to receive the fine unless all the performers, which included often potty-mouthed reggae stars like Vybz Kartel, Beenie Man, and Bounty Killer. Minaj told Vibe after the show that she’s a huge fan of reggae music and her fellow Sumfest performers.
“I always include a Reggae segment in my shows, even on the Britney Spears Tour because I love Jamaican culture and dancehall music,” Minaj told VIBE. “I grew up on it. Since I was little, I’ve loved Beenie Man, Lady Saw and Bounty Killer.”
Britney Spears is being sued by a licensing company for breach of contract and the company is demanding that a judge order Spears to be deposed. Brad Sense is suing Spears and her father Jamie Spears for allegedly stopping payment of royalties from Spears’ successful Elizabeth Arden fragrance line.
“Brand Sense intends to seek immediate relief from the probate court’s order. The notion that Britney Spears is mentally or emotionally unfit to testify under oath is a sham,” a court document on the matter states.
“Ms. Spears currently has the mental, emotional and physical capacity to endure the strain of a months-long international concert tour, make numerous public appearances, engage in interviews with the media, participate in numerous promotional campaigns for her various business enterprises, and maintain custody of her children,” the document continues.
The deal with Arden was licensed by Brad Sense and the company is seeking $10 million dollars in damages.
A hearing has been set for July 11th to see if Britney will be ordered to be deposed.
The 30-year-old singer-and-actor ‘ who has previously dated stars including Jessica Biel, Cameron Diaz and Britney Spears ‘ enjoys meeting new people and is happy to go wherever life takes him because he can’t understand the “drama” which surrounds relationships.
He said: “I don’t know that I’m looking for anything in particular.
“I think people are people and I enjoy meeting them. I don’t know that there’s a particular quality in a woman I would go for over any other.
“I think there’s too much being made these days about being ‘single’ or ‘not single’. There’s too much drama about it when it really shouldn’t be much of an issue at all.
“I’m just enjoying exploring my life right now and wherever that path ends up will be OK because that’s where I’ll have wanted it to end up.”
The ‘Bad Teacher’ star ‘ who shot to fame aged just 12 as a member of the ‘All-New Mickey Mouse Club’ ‘ turned 30 in January and admitted it has taken him until now to learn to relax and not seek acknowledgement in as many areas as possible.
He added in an interview with Britain’s HELLO! magazine: “It’s an exciting time for me. I kind of had a feeling in my twenties that I wanted to do as much as I could, as fast as I could, and I did do a lot of amazing stuff.
“But now I’m able to look at life and say, ‘You know, I don’t necessarily need to do everything.’ I don’t feel the need to be validated any more, which is a great place to be.
“Since I wrapped ‘Bad Teacher’, I haven’t been doing a lot of work, I’ve just been being. And that’s very enjoyable.”
Just when you thought Britney Spears would assemble her usual horde of dancers for another sweaty, routine-filled clip, she has released her new music video, “I Wanna Go,” where she’s showing off more than just her rockin’ body. She gets to display a wicked sense of humor.
The video, directed by Chris Marrs Piliero, starts with Spears at a press conference, where she ultimately F’s off the reporters at a press conference, after their questions include probing about carrying Brad Pitt’s lovechild (The answer? “That is false. It’s quintuplets,” she says) and if she hates puppies.
Before you know it, Brit is off and getting grabby with a fan, flashing father and sons, and enjoying getting frisked by a cop. That is until she runs into her arch nemeses, the paparazzi, which in this case are Terminators, sparks flying and all.
She gets “Weeds” star Guillermo Diaz to cameo and reference the cult stoner classic “Half Baked,” then there’s more bikini and short skirt-shaking, lots of spilled milk, and a closer reminiscent of Michael Jackson’s “Thriller.” Basically, it has to be seen to be believed.
Britney turns on the charm for her most personality-driven video yet. She spoofs herself (check out the theater across the street from all the action playing “Crossroads 2: Cross Harder”) and makes us laugh like she hasn’t since Brit last hosted “SNL” nearly 10 years ago.
“I Wanna Go” is the third single and music video off her platinum “Femme Fatale.” Last week, she kicked off her “Femme Fatale Tour,” where she performs “I Wanna Go” along with past hits such as “3″ and “I’m a Slave 4 U” to rave reviews.
Britney Spears decided to release her song a little early on Monday but don’t hold it against her. “Hold It Against Me,” the first single off her upcoming seventh album, is already #1 on iTunes everywhere and is the fastest-moving track on radio.
“if I said my heart was beating loud/If we could escape the crowd somehow/If I said I want your body now/Would you hold it against me?” Britney sings over a fist-pumping dance beat in this pulsating melodic come-on.
The song just hit iTunes late Monday night, where its available exclusively until next week, and it’s already #1 in countries like the U.S., Italy, France, Greece, Mexico, Norway, Spain and Sweden, among others.
The song also had radio’s biggest debut yet. It earned over 700 spins in just one day, beating out recent first single debuts from her peers like Lady Gaga’s “Bad Romance” and Rihanna’s “Only Girl (In the World). It’s also one of the biggest radio days for any song, period.
“Hold It Against Me,” produced by Max Martin and Dr. Luke, is the first taste of Britney’s seventh as-yet-untitled seventh album. It’s the first since 2008’s “Circus,” which yielded the #1 hit “Womanizer.”
Britney Spears kicked off her latest tour at Sacramento’s Power Balance Pavilion to thousands of her biggest fans. According to the reviews, the “Femme Fatale,” well, killed.
