BLINK 182′s frontman, Tom Delonge’s other music project is ANGELS AND AIRWAVES and SCI-FI-LONDON is delighted to screen the UK premiere of their first feature-length movie, LOVE.
The screening is part of SCI-FI-LONDON’s Oktoberfest celebration in Camden Town and takes place Sun 9 Oct, 7.30pm at the Odeon Camden.
A lone astronaut aboard the International Space Station becomes stranded in orbit when he loses contact with Earth. As time passes and life support systems dwindle, he battles to maintain his sanity ‘ and simply stay alive. His world is a claustrophobic and lonely existence, until he makes a strange discovery aboard the ship.
William Eubank makes his feature-directing debut with LOVE to create a visually stunning film. The opening sequence of LOVE is achingly beautiful and intense ‘if you saw nothing but the first ten minutes, you’ll have had a cinematic treat. Add to this the fact that Will and his brothers spent years building sets for an underground Civil War bunker sequence in his parent’s backyard and you can definitely make an argument for dedication to craft.
Driven by the powerful music of ANGELS & AIRWAVES, LOVE explores the fundamental human need for connection and the limitless power of hope.

THE TWO remaining members of Panic At The Disco have said they will continue the band. Guitarist Ryan Ross and bassist Jon Walker quit the band earlier this week to pursue individual music projects. Lead singer Brendon Urie and drummer Spencer Smith said they would continue and confirmed that they are working on new songs, and gearing up to support Blink 182 and No Doubt on tour. They also paid tribute to their former bandmates, calling them “some of the most talented guys we know”. Writing on their MySpace page, they said: “Panic At The Disco is alive and very very well. We are working on new songs that we are excited for you to hear. “Our dates with Blink and No Doubt start in a little less than a month, and we wouldn’t miss those for the world. “We know everybody has a lot of questions at this point with everything being so out of the blue, most of those should be answered in the coming weeks. We appreciate every one of you, and hope you continue with us on this incredible ride.” They then asked fans to keep their eyes peeled, as “we have a surprise in store for you”.

NEW FOUND GLORY announce August UK tour, including a main stage appearance at Reading and Leeds festivals and at Pukkelpop in Belgium Following on from their recent two exclusive and sold out UK dates (June 2009), NEW FOUND GLORY are pleased to announce a further run of UK headline dates which will also include a main stage performance at this year’s Reading and Leeds festivals. Having only just released their excellent new, Mark Hoppus produced (Motion City Soundtrack, The Matches) and Neil Avron mixed (Fall Out Boy) album Not Without A Fight earlier this year on new label Epitaph (making the US billboard chart top fifteen in the process), the band make it over for the 3rd time to the UK in under 10 months due to the live demand. In anticipation of the release, NEW FOUND GLORY originally kicked off Fight on January 6th with an online video game and a weigh-in press conference that were followed by – in true NFG fashion – hysterically funny training videos launching each week beginning January 22nd that ultimately lead up to the main event: the music video for their first single ‘Listen To Your Friends’, which can be viewed here: www.youtube.com/watch?v=Mvj6Pn47s0s Even though all the guys are still in their twenties, NEW FOUND GLORY have been slugging it out for over a decade alongside bands like Green Day and Blink 182, becoming one of the most celebrated pop-punk bands in the world. Known for their trademark humor and fun loving attitude, the band’s latest effort will bring smiles to fans’ faces once again. The band’s ability to consistently produce pop-punk favorites, album after album, has made New Found Glory a household name worldwide and Not Without A Fight raises the bar. Full list of August UK and Euro dates are:
Fri 21 Belgium, Pukkelpop Festival (main stage)
Sat 22 UK, London Garage
Sun 23 UK, Manchester Club Academy
Mon 24 UK, Newcastle Academy 2

Thu 27 UK, Birmingham Academy 2

The rock video game war will heat up again in the fall: both of the industry’s flagship series are hitting consumers with tantalizing titles in 9/09. Harmonix’s The Beatles: Rock Band arrives September 9th, and now Activision has confirmed Guitar Hero 5 is due September 1st. The game will boast 85 brand-new master recordings, and this week Activision is announcing the band lineup in a series of scavenger hunt-like stories; fans who track down all the featured artists can enter a sweepstakes to win five tickets to concerts at a venue of their choice. Tracks from Queen & David Bowie (presumably “Under Pressure”), Kings of Leon, Santana, Sonic Youth and A Perfect Circle will appear in the game. The title will also come equipped with tunes by Weezer, Bon Jovi, Billy Idol, Elliott Smith and the Bronx. According to information posted on the game’s official Website, the entire set list will be available for play immediately, and for the first time home rockers will be able to select any combination of instruments — so multiple guitarists, bassists, drummers or vocalists will be able to play at the same time (the perfect use for that army of plastic instruments cluttering your living room). There’s also a new Play Party Mode, which allows instruments to join and drop out of a song without interrupting or ending the track; players need to just pick up an instrument and hit a button to join the action without navigating any menus. Gamespot reports that there’s a new series of competitive modes called RockFest, which include Momentum (difficulty level shifts mid-play) and Streakers (bonus for nailing 10-plus perfect notes). A new Revival Meter allows band members to save a weaker player who has failed out. CNET adds that Guitar Hero 5’s new features and downloadable content will be compatible with Guitar Hero World Tour. The Rolling Stones’ “Sympathy for the Devil,” Bob Dylan’s “All Along the Watchtower,” Johnny Cash’s “Ring of Fire,” Tom Petty’s “Runnin’ Down a Dream” and the White Stripes’ “Blue Orchid” will also appear on the game’s set list, along with songs by Blur, Blink-182, Kiss, Band of Horses and Iron Maiden.
There for Tomorrow is a band from Orlando, Florida that combines Alternative Rock/Post Hardcore Music with adrenaline filled lyrics. Featured members are Maika Maile (Guitar/Lead Vocals); Christian Climer (Guitar/Background Vocals); Jay Enriquez (Bass Guitar/Background Vocals); and Chris Kamrada on Drums (see photo) . They are signed to Hopeless/Subcity Records.
The pop-punk quartet There for Tomorrow formed in 2003, when the bandmembers were still in their early- to mid-teen years. Directly inspired by Jimmy Eat World, blink-182, Third Eye Blind, and the Hives, childhood friends, soon began playing local radio station showcase concerts, which led to stints on the southeastern leg of the Vans Warped Tour in 2006 and 2007. A 2007 self-released EP, Pages, attracted the attention of the indie Hopeless Records, which led to the band remixing and re-recording the songs with producer James Paul Wisner (Underoath, Paramore) for the band’s self-titled 2008 EP, featuring the first single “No More Room to Breathe.” The song “Pages” also appeared on the 2008 edition of the Vans Warped Tour compilation double CD on Side One Dummy Records

The following tracks will launch exclusively through Rock Band Unplugged on the PSP system for a limited time before becoming downloadable content for the other platforms:

The Rock Band Entertainment Pack will be available in North America for $199.99 (MSRP).
Similar to fellow British pop act Busted, London-based McFly came together and quickly won over the youth masses with their boyish charm and lively tales of adolescence. However, while Busted shared commonalities with the punk-edged accessibility of acts like blink-182 and Simple Plan, McFly owed a bit more musically to bands like the Beach Boys. Naming themselves after Michael J. Fox’s character from the Back to the Future series, the guys — Danny Jones (guitar/vocals), Tom Fletcher (guitar/vocals), Dougie Poynter (bass/vocals), and Harry Judd (drums) — released Room on the Third Floor in the fall of 2004 on Universal. The album went straight to number one in the U.K., an achievement that landed them in -The Guinness Book of World Records as the youngest band to ever do so. It produced a slew of Top Five hits as well, including “Five Colours in Her Hair,” “Obviously,” “That Girl,” and “Room on the Third Floor,” the first two of which peaked at number one on the U.K. charts.
McFly started off 2005 with a Best Pop Award win at the Brits, and later in the year released the charity single “All About You,” which also contained a B-side cover of Carole King’s “You’ve Got a Friend.” The proceeds from the single benefited African communities affected by HIV/AIDS, and as a result, the band spent some time early in the year visiting with some of these villages in Uganda. McFly issued their follow-up record, Wonderland, in the U.K. in August 2005; filmed during a show in Manchester, the subsequent Wonderland Tour 2005 DVD appeared that fall. The bandmembers next surfaced with roles as themselves in the spring 2006 Lindsay Lohan teen movie Just My Luck. A record of the same name, though not the movie’s soundtrack, was released that May in the United States, which contained tracks from their other albums. The full-length Motion in the Ocean followed that fall. One of its singles, “Please, Please,” caused an initial stir among gossip columns and bloggers as it was apparently written by members of McFly (everyone but Judd, that is) about Judd’s alleged romantic relationship with Lindsay Lohan on the film’s set.
Following their all conquering, sell out arena tour in November 2008, McFly announce a string of intimate gigs this April and May 2009.
The 14 date tour will take the boys to theatre sized venues in all corners of the country, including stops at the Manchester Apollo, Edinburgh Corn Exchange and London’s HMV Apollo in Hammersmith. American Idol runner-up David Archuleta is the Special Guest on all dates.
Well accustomed to huge audiences in arenas around the world, McFly savour the rare opportunity to thank their most loyal fans at smaller shows. In 2006, the boys embarked on their ‘Up Close and Personal’ theatre tour, which saw dates selling out in less than two hours. The shows proved so enjoyable for the band and their fans that a sequel was only a matter of time.
‘UP CLOSE,BUT THIS TIME IT’S PERSONAL’ TOUR DATES:

22 April Blackpool Opera House
24 April Edinburgh Corn Exchange
25 April Glasgow Clyde Auditorium
26 April Newcastle City Hall

2008 was another huge year for McFly. Taking full control of their creative output, the boys launched independent label Super Records and released ‘Radio: ACTIVE,’ their first studio album in two years. The record was given away exclusively with the Mail On Sunday, reaching over 2.4 million homes and prompting a 300,000 rise in circulation. The album spawned three smash hit singles and a nationwide arena tour.
